    Izzat steers TribeX’s vision, growth, and global partnerships, driving bold ideas that bridge education, leadership, and opportunity.

    With over 12 years of experience in shaping innovative global initiatives across Europe, USA and MENA, Izzat brings a blend of strategy, creativity, and heart to everything TribeX does.

    Before TribeX, Izzat set up the Global Selection Programme at UWC International. He then joined the Rhodes Trust to help set up the Rise scholarship, a partnership between Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust. Most recently, Izzat supported the team at Ellison Institute of Technology to set up the Ellison Scholars global selection process, which funds talented students to study at the University of Oxford.

    Rooted in purpose and guided by curiosity, Izzat leads TribeX with a simple belief: that when opportunity meets design, transformation follows.

  • Dr. Kathryn Segesser

    Co-Founder / Director of Strategic Development

    Dr. Kathryn leads TribeX’s long-term growth. From building strategic alliances to designing transformative programmes, Kathryn drives innovation and shapes the pathways that keep TribeX at the forefront of education and leadership design.

    With over 18 years’ of experience supporting youth and educational organisations from across the globe, Kathryn leads the way we design support, partnerships, and scale for our clients.

    Before TribeX, Kathryn worked in higher education systems in multiple countries, and designed programmes that brought together organisations and youth for lasting collaboration and impact. Kathryn also has experience building scholarship programmes from the ground up, with a focus on development and scale against ambitious multi-year targets.

  • Lau Carone

    Lau Carone

    Co-Founder / Director of Operations

    Lau leads TribeX’s day-to-day rhythm. Responsible for turning vision into execution, this role ensures our systems, partnerships, and projects run seamlessly, with precision, reliability, and care in every detail.

    Lau is a social worker and programme manager with over 15 years of experience supporting young people and civil society organisations across the world. She brings a blend of expertise in designing systems, creative problem-solving and an expert generalist perspective to TribeX.

    Before TribeX, Lau served as a board member for a global education organisation. She also supported global organisations in developing their policy and systems frameworks, and in implementing experiential multicultural learning programmes.

    Creative Director

    Julia leads TribeX's creative vision, shaping how our story is told, and how our brand is experienced across all platforms. From visual identity and design to storytelling and campaigns, Julia ensures every detail reflects TribeX's spirit of innovation, connection and excellence.

    With over a decade of experience in creative direction and brand design, Julia brings a sharp eye for visual storytelling and a talent for turning ideas into experiences that stick.

    Before TribeX, Julia ran her own creative practice, partnering with brands and organisations to build visual identities, campaigns, and content that connected with audiences across different markets.

  • Dr. Kirsten James

    Academic Mentor

    Dr. Kirsten mentors students through every stage of their university applications, helping them find their voice, sharpen their thinking, and put forward the strongest possible case for the courses and institutions they're aiming for.

    An historian by training, Dr. Kirsten brings years of university-level teaching and research experience to her mentoring, along with a sharp eye for what admissions tutors are actually looking for in a strong application.

    Kirsten's academic background includes lecturing in History at the University of East Anglia and the University of Suffolk, as well as teaching at universities across Canada and Britain. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a BA from King's College and Dalhousie University.

    The engine behind TribeX’s stories. From video and photography to posts and campaigns, Doaa turns ideas into compelling visuals and messages that connect, and bring the TribeX experience to life.

    Before TribeX, Doaa shaped stories that informed and inspired audiences across the Middle East, working as an editor at a leading regional news agency. Today, she channels that same storytelling power into how TribeX connects ideas, people, and possibilities.
